چکیده
Abstract The multiscale stochastic simulation method based on the marriage of Brownian Configuration Field (BCF) and Radial Basis Function mesh-free approximation for dilute fibre suspensions by our group, is further developed to simulate non-dilute suspensions. For present approach, macro micro processes proceeded at each time step are linked other a contributed stress formula associated with used kinetic model. Due feature suspensions, interaction between fibres introduced into evolution equation determine configurations using BCF method. stresses then determined configuration fields Phan–Thien–Graham efficiency demonstrated analysis two challenging problems, axisymmetric contraction expansion flows, range concentration from semi-dilute concentrated regimes. Results evidenced numerical experiments show that would be potential in analysing simulating various food medical industries.

Simulation of concentrated suspensions using the force-coupling method
The force-coupling method (FCM) represents the dynamics of low Reynolds number suspension flows through a distributed, low-order, finite force-multipole expansion and provides an efficient, matrix-free method to solve the mobility problem for the particle motion. In concentrated suspensions, strong short-range lubrication forces are generated between particles in close proximity as fluid in the...

Sounding out Paper Pulp: Ultrasound Spectroscopy of Dilute Viscoelastic Fibre Suspensions
A model of attenuation of ultrasound in fibre suspensions is compared to a model of backscattering pressure from submersed cylinders subjected to a sound wave. This analysis is carried out in the region where the wavelength is of the same order as that of the diameter of the fibre. In addition we assume the cylinder scatterer to have no intrinsic attenuation and the longitudinal axis of the sca...
متن کاملThe rheology of fibre suspensions
We review theoretical work on the rheology of fibre suspensions. We seek to clarify one or two confusions in published work and also give a small improvement to Batchelor’s formula for extensional viscosity of suspensions of long fibres between the dilute and semi-dilute régimes.
